witnesses filming you for the social feed is the next step

VC had it simple. One star, cops chase you. Pay n spray, done. RDR2 made it messy with witnesses and bounties that actually stuck. Now with VI, I'm seeing that social feed from the trailer and thinking... Rockstar's gonna make every NPC a potential snitch with a phone. You rough someone up, they pull out their cell and start streaming. If they get away, your face is on the in-game internet and the heat follows you across Leonida. Maybe even a bounty system like RDR2 but modernized. Cops in 2002 were dumb. These ones will probably have facial recognition and drones. I'm here for it, but I swear if I get a wanted level because some random NPC filmed me stealing a car...

How do you think the witness system will play out? Will it be as annoying as RDR2's or actually fun?

Three Leaf Clover worked because the heat was scripted. I'm not ready for every tourist to turn my escape into a viral clip.

Trailer 1 flashes the social-media overlay at 0:52. Six phones visible across both trailers. No shot shows an NPC filming a crime as it happens. Rockstar hasn't detailed the witness loop yet.

Exactly. We might be reading too much into background props. If they do go full viral witness though, could smashing the phone mid-recording actually erase the evidence? Might depend on whether it's physics based or just a scripted event. I could be wrong, but that seems like a fun edge case to test.
