lucia's on an ifruit pad in that shot and everyone's too busy with the backflip
Watching the extended look again and the backflip is cool and all but I keep coming back to something else. Lucia is sitting there with some beers, talking to Cal H or whoever the Leonida version of that is, and she's holding what looks like a tablet. An ifruit pad maybe. Nobody's really talking about it because Jason's flip stole the moment.
Then in the elevator scene there's an NPC using the same thing. So it's a device that exists in the world and NPCs use it too.
I'm guessing this is how we'll scroll social media in game. Instead of pulling up a phone screen that covers the whole view, maybe we get an over the shoulder look at the pad. TGG or DVAU mentioned something like that in a video. Since there's no first person mode, they think the phone or pad will work like RDR2 when you clean or polish a weapon in third person. The camera shifts over your shoulder and you see the item up close.
That would be a pretty big change from GTA 5 where the phone UI just pops up as a flat screen. If the ifruit pad is a physical object Lucia holds, it could make the social media stuff feel more grounded. You'd actually see her scrolling with her thumb or tapping the screen. NPCs doing it in the elevator makes the world feel more alive too.
I don't know if it'll be called ifruit pad or something else. Rockstar might just call it a tablet. But the fact that it shows up in multiple scenes makes me think it's a real mechanic rather than set dressing.
Anyway, the backflip is fine but this is the detail I'm stuck on.
