the devil woman song in the extended look has me side eyeing lucia hard

Caught this on a rewatch last night. Second half of the extended look, Cliff Richard's 'Devil Woman' starts playing and I had to pause. The chorus is not subtle.

She's just a devil woman
With evil on her mind

Rockstar doesn't throw songs into these videos by accident. They've used music to set a tone or hint at a character before, and this one is basically a warning label. Lucia already has half the internet acting up, but the 'get you from behind' line feels pointed when she's one half of a couple we're supposed to root for.

Could be about her relationship with Jason. Maybe she plays him, maybe the whole Bonnie and Clyde thing goes sideways. Or maybe it's just a Vice City era track that fits the vibe and I'm reading too much into it. But the fact that it's in the second half, after we've seen them together, makes me think it's deliberate.

I'm not ready to call her a villain. But I'm going to be watching every Lucia scene from now on like she owes me money.

Could easily be a vibe pick (Vice City runs on cheesy 70s radio). V's first trailer had Small Faces and everyone swore that was a coded message too.

MapNerd's right that Rockstar picks vibe tracks, but placement matters. Second half, right after the couple shots, that's editing with intent.

It also tracks from a crew standpoint. Every two-person job lives or dies on trust, and this series loves a partner flip. If Lucia's the one running the plan and Jason's just the wheel, "get you from behind" is basically a job description.

Flagging the timeline here. The Extended Look still hasn't aired (slated for August 27, Netflix at 3pm ET, YouTube and rockstargames.com at 9pm ET), so there's no official cut to rewatch.
