will rockstar actually support gta 6 single player after launch or just go quiet?

Rockstar has said multiple times now that GTA 6 is a single player experience. We haven't heard a peep about GTA 6 Online, no announcement, no teaser, nothing. That's got me thinking about what happens after November 19.

Do they just go completely off the radar once the game ships? Or do they actually support the single player side with patches, bug fixes, quality of life improvements? Crimson Desert is doing a lot of post launch support, but I don't think Rockstar needs to go that far. Just something meaningful would be nice.

GTA 5's single player got left in the dust once Online took off. I really don't want that to happen again. If Rockstar is pushing the single player angle this hard, maybe they'll treat it differently this time. But Rockstar is Rockstar, and Online prints money. So who knows.

I'd be happy with regular bug fixes and small QOL updates. Story DLC would be amazing but I'm not holding my breath. What do you all think? Would you be satisfied with just patches, or do you want actual single player content after launch?

Rockstar's track record on this is countable. GTA 5's story mode got zero content updates after Online launched on October 1, 2013, while Online has had 40+ major updates since. RDR2 single player: no post-launch content either.

With no GTA 6 Online announced yet, the old pattern has nothing to attach to. Patches and QOL are the safe bet. Anything beyond that would be a first.

sure. safe. but why do they keep saying "single player experience" out loud, over and over, like a mantra. companies don't repeat things for no reason. either they're telling the truth louder than usual, or there's a shape underneath we can't see yet.

and the silence on online... that's the loudest thing in this whole cycle. they put an extended look on netflix, prime real estate, and still not a whisper about multiplayer. nothing. the money has to flow somewhere though. watch where it goes after november 19. follow the shark cards and the pattern reveals itself...
