RDR2's brawls were so physical — GTA 6 needs to let us smash NPCs into car windows

Been thinking about how combat could feel in GTA 6, and RDR2 already laid the groundwork. The way Arthur would stumble into walls, grab people by the collar, or slam them against a bar — that weighty, messy physicality is exactly what Vice City needs.

But I want Rockstar to push it way further. Not just punching and shooting. I want the whole environment to be a weapon.

Like:

  • Grabbing an NPC and shoving their face into a car hood or smashing them through a window.
  • Throwing someone over a railing or into a dumpster — not a canned animation, but something that reacts to what's actually there.
  • Picking up whatever's lying around. Bottles, bricks, pool cues, chairs, traffic cones. If it's on the ground or on a table, let me swing it.
  • Kicking a door into someone's face or slamming them through a shop display so the glass shatters.
  • Using the location to change the fight. A bar brawl should feel different from a construction site or the beach. More stuff to grab, more surfaces to smash people into.

RDR2's melee was already a huge step up from GTA V's floaty nonsense. If they build on that and make the world itself part of the fight, every random street scuffle could turn into something memorable. I don't need a million combos — just let me use what's around me.

And if NPCs can do the same back to you, even better. Getting tossed through a fruit stand or having a bottle smashed over your head would make losing a fight just as entertaining as winning.

I'm not expecting some deep fighting game system, but if they can make the environment feel reactive and dangerous, that's the kind of chaos that makes GTA, well, GTA.

ok so if they bring that messy rdr2 brawling to vice city i'm gonna lose hours just tossing people through shop windows.
