ex rockstar dev thinks gta 6 online rp could let creators actually get paid

Saw this Dexerto piece and it's one of those predictions that sounds too good to be true, but also kind of inevitable if you've been paying attention to how Rockstar's been handling RP lately.
The gist is a former Rockstar dev is saying GTA 6 Online might eventually let roleplay players build their own stories and monetize them. That would be a huge shift from how RP works now, where creators basically run everything outside Rockstar's ecosystem and hope their community supports them. Actual money from custom content inside the game would be a different beast.
I'm not sure how they'd pull it off without it turning into a mess of paid mods and paywalled scenarios. But if Rockstar builds the tools in natively and takes a cut, it could bring a ton of RP creators over from FiveM and NoPixel. The question is whether the quality stays high or if it becomes a race to the bottom with cheap cash grab servers.
Either way, I'm not holding my breath until Rockstar actually confirms anything. But the idea of getting paid for a custom RP scenario is wild, and it would explain why they've been so quiet about online details.
