anyone else hoping fishing in gta 6 goes way beyond rdr2?

RDR2's fishing was honestly one of my favorite side activities. I spent way too many hours just standing on a riverbank with a rod, catching bluegill and getting way too invested in the little struggle minigame. But then I played Far Cry 5 and they had multiple pole types, different lures, even a fishing boat with a motorized reel setup. That got me thinking about what GTA 6 could do with the whole Leonida coastline and the Keys.

I haven't seen a single person bring up fishing in the GTA 6 discussions. Everyone's talking about the wanted system, the relationship stuff, the minimap changes. But imagine pulling up to a dock in Vice City, renting a boat, heading out past the Keys, and hooking a hammerhead with a motorized reel. That would be insane. RDR2 gave us legendary fish, but GTA 6 could go full deep sea fishing. Different rods for freshwater vs saltwater, lures that actually matter, maybe even a fish finder on the boat. The ocean in GTA 5 was mostly empty except for a few collectibles and the submarine. If Rockstar is putting this much detail into iguanas and NPC reactions, I'd be shocked if they didn't do something with fishing.

What's something you're excited about that nobody else seems to be talking about? I feel like there's a ton of small systems we haven't even considered yet.

ngl i never even touched fishing in rdr2 but hooking a hammerhead off the keys sounds sick. knowing my luck i'd catch something and immediately get eaten by a shark lol
