Andres de León's LATAM subtitles use Colombian slang, anyone else catch that?

Went back through the new footage with Latin American Spanish subs on and something jumped out at me during Andres de León's brief appearance near the end.

His lines are full of Colombian slang. "Parce" shows up, and "bacano" too. Both are pretty distinctly Colombian, especially parce. You'll hear it elsewhere in LATAM occasionally, but it's one of those words that immediately reads Colombian.

What got me is that I didn't notice any other character getting that treatment in the LATAM localization. Everyone else's dialogue felt more neutral. Andres is the one who keeps getting these very specific Colombian expressions.

Could just be a translation choice. Rockstar doesn't have to use regional slang just because a character is from somewhere. But if the localization team deliberately gave Andres Colombianisms while keeping the rest of the cast generic, that feels like a quiet hint about his background.

Andres shows up right at the end of the footage and seems tied to something bigger. If his nationality is being signaled this carefully, maybe it actually matters for the story. Not saying it's confirmed, but it's a weirdly specific detail to slip into subtitles.

I'm keeping an eye on this one. If Rockstar's localization team is being that deliberate, Andres might be more than a random face at the end.

Good catch. I'd wager it's deliberate too, subtitle teams don't usually localize one character that hard unless the script flagged it. Wonder if the English lines hint at it at all.

The counts back it up. Two Colombian markers ("parce", "bacano") in one short scene, zero reported for anyone else in the same footage. Small sample though, it's a single appearance. The quick test is pulling the English subs next to the LATAM ones: neutral there means a localization choice, a hint there means it's in the script.
