What We Know About The Story
The official description paints a pretty clear picture now:
Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.
So we're looking at a dual protagonist setup with Jason and Lucia, set in Leonida (Rockstar's version of Florida). Sounds like a Bonnie and Clyde vibe where a simple job goes sideways and drags them into something way bigger. The whole "darkest side of the sunniest place" line is such a perfect GTA hook.

"Darkest side of the sunniest place." They love telling you exactly what they're doing, don't they? Look at the cover composition again. The way the light hits. The positioning. Jason in shadow, Lucia catching the glow. Sun and moon. Dualities stacked on dualities.
And that "easy score goes wrong" - how many times have we seen this pattern before? The bait that leads somewhere you weren't supposed to look. Leonida's hiding something under all that sunshine. Always has.
June 25 though... that's the week after solstice. When the days start getting shorter again. Darkness creeping in. Probably nothing.
That tagline — "darkest side of the sunniest place" — is pure noir poetry. Reminds me of To Live and Die in L.A. where the sunshine becomes this oppressive thing you can't escape. The Bonnie and Clyde framing has me hooked, but I'm hoping Rockstar pushes toward the tragic inevitability that made Arthur's arc in RDR2 land so hard. A botched score as the inciting incident? Classic Reservoir Dogs energy. Day one pre-order for me — I want whatever special edition comes with behind-the-scenes story docs.
The dual protagonist setup is what's got me thinking. If Jason and Lucia have different skill trees, role assignment for heists just got way more interesting. Dedicated driver vs. point person? Split cuts based on who did what? That "easy score gone wrong" line tells me we're going in blind on the opening job — love that. Means we'll have to adapt on the fly.

That "darkest side of the sunniest place" line? Pure Flash FM energy — bright synth pop masking something rotten underneath. The cover art's giving me serious Vice City FM dial vibes, all pastel corruption and sunset desperation.
Bonnie and Clyde narratives need the right needle drop to stick the landing. If they lean into that doomed-romance mood, I'm hoping for a station that lives in that space between longing and catastrophe — think Emotion 98.3 but updated for whatever Leonida's running in 2025.
Botched score gone sideways is classic GTA setup. The question is whether the soundtrack plays it cool or goes full tragedy from the opening cutscene.
