post credits gameplay, what do jason and lucia actually keep
Been turning this over since the extended look and the way they talk about money. We've heard Jason and Lucia won't get a ton of the usual stuff because of where the story goes, and Rockstar supposedly doesn't want another GTA 5 situation where you're sitting on millions with nothing left to buy. So what does the post credits sandbox even look like?
Two ideas keep circling my head.
- Jason and Lucia go through the whole rags to riches arc, Keys to Vice City, low level dealers up to CEOs, then the ending forces them to give it all up to survive. They're free but broke. The main story basically becomes a giant tutorial for the full world, and after credits you unlock businesses, properties, all of it. They'd have the connections and skills from day one to rebuild anywhere in Leonida. Witness protection but on their own terms.
- What if a third playable character unlocks after the story? Someone who crosses paths with Jason and Lucia right before they vanish. They hand everything over to this person because a fugitive couple can't exactly hold onto a bunch of assets. This new character wouldn't have the same restrictions. Could be an existing side character or a brand new one, maybe even your online character. With the customization they've shown, it would be a clean way to bring your GTA Online avatar into the single player world.
I can't imagine finishing the credits and being stuck with just one of the two protagonists. Either we keep both or we get neither. The Bonnie and Clyde angle is cool but replayability matters way too much for Rockstar to leave us with nothing to do.
What do you all think, would a third character cheapen the duo dynamic or save the endgame?
