Frame Friday #115: last batch of official frames before the extended look, 13 weeks to go

Well, this is it. The final batch of frames we've got from the two trailers. I know most of you have moved on to dissecting every pixel of the extended look teaser, but we had to close this out properly. Next week we switch gears entirely.

I'm not touching the drama from this week. You all know what I mean. Let's just get back to normal for a bit and enjoy what Rockstar actually gave us. Thursday is going to be a feast.

For the future, the extended look is going to have way more scenes than we have Fridays left before launch. So the old goal of analyzing every single frame before release is officially dead. I might combine some of those new scenes with my own gameplay frames after the game drops, but I haven't figured that out yet. We'll see how it goes.

On a personal note, I'm planning to grab a PS5 and the game in October. Money's still tight, but a few of you sent some support and I can't thank you enough. It wouldn't have happened without that. The last drought is finally over, and I'll be there day one.

So for this last batch, I'm not going to list every frame like usual. You've seen them a hundred times. Instead, let's just appreciate that we're 13 weeks out and the next time we do this, it'll be with brand new footage. What are you hoping they show us first on Thursday?

Man, 13 weeks out and I'm already dreaming about the radio dial! I still get chills from that Tom Petty needle drop in the first trailer. If Thursday gives us even half that energy with a fresh station tease, I'm gonna lose it completely!

Hard to believe we're actually here. Those May frames kept us fed for ages! Hope we get a golden hour cruise with something new cooking on the dial. Maybe Fever 105 makes a comeback. Hope you get that PS5 sorted, the wait's basically over and day one is gonna be wild.

13 weeks out. I'm getting that jittery feeling I had booting up VC back in 2002. We didn't have frame breakdowns then, just magazines and hope.

Man, it really is. I just want to see something from Grassrivers or Ambrosia. Those beach shots from trailer 1 are burned in but I'm ready for fresh ground.
