would rockstar really record three versions of every cutscene for lucia and jason?

Been thinking about the whole couple dynamic they've shown in the trailers. Lucia and Jason are clearly together, but what if that relationship actually shifts based on how you play?

The idea that keeps rattling around my head is Rockstar recording three different versions of every main mission cutscene. One where they're ride or die, one where they're just kind of neutral, and one where they can't stand each other. That would be a massive amount of work, but imagine the payoff.

It wouldn't just be cutscenes either. During missions, Jason might actually have your back more if things are good between them. Or he could ignore you, leave you hanging, make snarky comments when you mess up. Same goes for Lucia if you're playing as Jason.

What would push the relationship one way or the other? Stuff outside the main missions. Cheating, turning down dates, not covering them in a firefight, leaving them behind when you drive off. Little things that add up over time.

I know this probably isn't a new thought. Half the sub has probably kicked this around already. But the more I think about it, the more I wonder if Rockstar would actually go that far. Three full sets of cutscene performances for two protagonists is a lot of voice work and mocap. They've done branching dialogue before, but this feels like a different scale.

Would you want the relationship to swing that hard, or would it get annoying if you're stuck with a version of Jason or Lucia you don't like?

That line sums it up. I've chased 100% in every 3D and HD title, and even the heist prep variations in V didn't touch this scale. Three complete emotional arcs for Lucia and Jason across Leonida? It'd be beautiful, but I'm betting on gameplay friction, not full scene swaps. One locked narrative thread with reactive barks feels more likely.
