arrests might actually be a thing in gta 6, not just instant death by cop
Been rewatching trailer 2 and that scene where Jason pulls up to the prison to get Lucia keeps nagging at me. What if getting arrested is actually a real mechanic this time instead of cops just unloading on you the second you breathe near them?
Think about it. We know both characters are gonna be running around together a lot. So maybe that prison pickup scene isn't some big story beat. Maybe it's a shorter cutscene you see somewhat regularly. One character gets busted, does their time, and the game tells you they're ready for release so you go grab them.
The guard's line about having seen Jason there before would make way more sense in that context too. Like yeah, this is a routine thing for these two, not a one-off plot moment.
Gameplay wise this could open up some interesting stuff. You could have one character deliberately get arrested on a lesser charge to pull heat off the other one. Sacrifice play. Lucia gets cuffed for some minor thing while Jason slips away with the actual score. That's the kind of two-protagonist synergy I want to see.
Not saying I've cracked the code or anything. Just hyped and speculating like everyone else. But if Rockstar is actually building arrest into the loop instead of it being a rare scripted thing, that changes how you approach police encounters entirely. Way more interesting than the wanted level being a death sentence every time.

wait so in old gtas the cops just straight up murder you for jaywalking? lol that's why everyone drives like that. anyway the sacrifice play sounds sick, fr hope lucia can do a lil jail time while i'm chilling with jason.
