ok so i've been rewatching trailer 2 and the map details we got from the pre-order stuff, and i can't stop thinking about what's still standing from the original vice city. the malibu club was the heart of the game but in 2026 it's probably a condo tower or some glass-fronted nightclub with a different name, right? but then again rockstar loves their callbacks so maybe the neon sign is in a museum or something. the vercetti estate i could see being a derelict mansion you can explore, all overgrown and creepy, maybe with some easter eggs about tommy's fate. the ocean view hotel though, that place was a dump in 2002, no way it survived 24 years of hurricanes and gentrification. unless it got bought out and turned into a boutique hotel, that would be a cool twist. the timeline gap is massive so most of the old landmarks should be gone, but i bet they'll keep a few iconic ones to ground the nostalgia. the trailer showed that strip with the neon, maybe that's the new malibu? i'm just hyped to see what's left and what got demolished for condos.
