RDR2's sky was something else, I can't stop thinking about how GTA 6 will top it

I was replaying RDR2 the other night and just got lost staring at the sky. The way the clouds build up before a storm, the stars at night when you're out in the wilderness, the colors during sunrise. It's still one of the best skies I've ever seen in a game.

And now I keep thinking about what Rockstar's gonna do with the sky in GTA 6. We've got Leonida, which is basically Florida, so you know the sunsets are gonna be insane. All that humidity and heat should make for some crazy cloud formations. I'm hoping they push the volumetric stuff even further, maybe with proper light scattering so the sky actually looks different depending on the time of day and weather.

The thing I'm most curious about is nighttime. RDR2 had that amazing Milky Way when you were far from towns, and light pollution was actually a thing. If you were near Saint Denis the sky got washed out. I'd love to see that in GTA 6. Vice City is gonna be bright as hell at night, but if you drive out to the Grassrivers or up into the mountains, the sky should open up. Imagine pulling over on some backroad at 3am, killing your headlights, and just seeing a sky full of stars. Maybe even a meteor shower event, like a rare weather occurrence that only happens a few times in a playthrough.

And what about the moon? RDR2 had those nights where the moon was so bright you didn't even need a lantern. With the Everglades-inspired areas they're putting in Leonida, a bright moon over the swamps would be perfect. Plus, think about how the sky interacts with the ocean. All that water around the Keys, the reflection of the sky on the waves at night. If they nail the water physics like they seem to be doing, the sky reflecting off it could be breathtaking.

I'm also wondering if they'll do something with the northern lights. Probably not, since Florida's too far south, but maybe some kind of rare atmospheric event? Or what about lightning storms over the ocean? RDR2 had some great storms, but GTA 6 could take it to another level with the new hardware.

What's the one sky detail you're hoping Rockstar absolutely nails?
