I need GTA 6 to have another Mount Chiliad-level mystery, the weirder the better
Rockstar's worlds always have that layer of weirdness simmering just beneath the surface, and I'm really hoping Leonida doubles down on it. GTA V had the whole Chiliad thing, UFOs, the ghost of Jolene, and a bunch of alien encounters that still have people digging through game files a decade later. RDR2 cranked it up even more with the ghost train, the vampire, that mutant in the lab, and random cult encounters that made the map feel genuinely haunted.
Now picture what they could do with Vice City and the surrounding swamps. The Everglades alone are a horror movie waiting to happen. I'm not talking about just one scripted jumpscare, I want a swamp creature that you might never even see unless you're out there at 3am during a thunderstorm. UFOs hovering over the ocean, blinking lights that vanish when you get close. Abandoned crack dens in the middle of nowhere with something wrong about them, not just a dead body but the kind of wrong that makes you turn the game off for a bit.
Bigfoot's gotta be in there somewhere. Maybe not the same old Bigfoot, but something that fits the Florida vibe. A skunk ape, a wendigo, whatever. And a serial killer mystery that spans the whole map, tiny clues scattered across billboards and radio chatter and graffiti, the kind of thing the community pieces together over months. Rockstar knows we love that stuff. They've been watching us obsess over every frame of the trailers, they know we'll tear the map apart looking for secrets.
I just hope they don't play it too safe. The supernatural side of GTA has always been this optional, almost hidden layer that rewards the curious. With Leonida's mix of neon sleaze and backwoods isolation, they've got the perfect setting to make it even stranger than before.
