Vice City's ocean was simple but it had soul. A few hidden packages, that creepy underwater cave with the chainsaw, the sunken statue. It didn't need much to feel alive. GTA V's underwater world was technically impressive but felt like a checklist. Hatch, UFO, plane wrecks. Cool, but no soul.
Leonida's got the Keys, the Everglades, the whole Gulf coast. I want to dive down and find something that screams 1986. Not just another random collectible. Give me a sunken cigarette boat with a brick of cash still in the glovebox. A flooded smuggler's cave with a chainsaw on a crate. And for the love of Tommy Vercetti, put a mansion down there. Not a real one, but a movie set or a drug lord's folly. A globe with "The World Is Yours" half-buried in sand. That's the kind of Easter egg that sticks with you.
San Andreas had the ghost car and the jetpack. Vice City had the best atmosphere. If Rockstar's smart, they'll make the ocean feel like a lost 80s crime scene, not just a pretty aquarium.
ok so that Port Gellhorn screenshot already looks like smuggler territory, right? i'd be shocked if Rockstar didn't bury something nasty in the shallows. give me a half-flooded concrete bunker with a neon sign still flickering underwater and i'm sold. they know Vice City's whole thing was atmosphere, not collectibles.

give me a flooded coke runner's Countach rusting on the seabed. widebody kit still intact. gold BBS wheels bolted on. that hits HARDER than any statue.
bury a chop shop under the mangroves or a cigarette boat with a blown big block. something you spot while scouting Keys drift routes.
