Grassrivers is practically begging for a serial killer cold case

Rockstar's been on a true crime kick for a while now. GTA V had the Infinity Killer (eight bodies in the ocean, that creepy poem, the whole Sandy Shores connection). RDR2 gave us the map-piece murderer and that basement near Valentine. It's basically a tradition at this point.

So looking at the Leonida map, Grassrivers feels too obvious. That whole region north of Vice City (west of Port Gellhorn, if the mapping nerds have it right) is just endless swamp and sawgrass. Perfect dumping ground. I'm picturing a cold case that spans decades, with clues scattered across the 'Glades — maybe a half-sunken airboat, a shack on stilts with newspaper clippings, or a gator with a key item in its stomach (classic Florida).

Los Santos had the ocean to hide bodies. Leonida has the swamp. Same energy, but with more humidity and way more things that can eat you while you investigate. I'd bet the mystery starts with a random encounter somewhere along the Grassrivers trail, maybe near the old sugar mill.

What do you think the trigger will be? A hitchhiker? A weird radio broadcast? Or just stumbling onto the wrong campsite at dusk?

you're not wrong about the humidity. dumping ground, sure. a ledger too. infinity killer left the poem. the valentine basement had the map.

always patterns beneath the rot. grassrivers feels older though. something the swamp wrote before vice city even had roads. a history of teeth.

that sugar mill you mentioned... rusted blades. spirals in the metal. cycles within cycles. you don't farm sugar that deep in the glades. not economically. so why build it there...

trigger won't be a hitchhiker. too clean. it'll be static on the radio at 3:33. or a gator dragging something that glints. metal doesn't digest. bone does, eventually... noticed?

Mood's right. But that gator evidence scenario is a chain-of-custody nightmare. Fish and Wildlife would hold the scene for hours before CSI could process.

Give me a cold case board in a field office. Mud preserves prints. Waterlogged casings still carry striations. That's the procedural hook.

That seems like a physics object begging to despawn. I'm guessing it might clip through the gator the second you spook it.
