Xbox Game Pass Is Losing 8 More Games In October

Between waiting for GTA 6 and trying to clear my Game Pass backlog, Xbox just made it harder. Eight games are leaving at the end of October, and a couple of them are legit classics I keep meaning to play.

Here's what's gone on October 31:

  • Dead Static Drive
  • Wildgate
  • Deep Rock Galactic
  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered
  • Wartales
  • Full Throttle Remastered
  • Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
  • Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris

The Double Fine remasters hurt the most. Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle are both '90s point and click adventures with updated art and audio. If you've never touched them, this is your last shot on Game Pass without buying them outright.

Deep Rock Galactic is also a big loss. That co-op shooter has a huge following and it's perfect for quick sessions with friends. Wartales is a solid strategic RPG, and Wildgate mixes ship combat with PvPvE stuff. Dead Static Drive gets described as Grand Theft Cthulhu, which honestly sounds like something I need to try before it's gone.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga covers all nine movies and is massive, so if you started it and fell off, now's the time to wrap it up. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is a fun co-op spin on the series too.

You can still grab any of these with a 20% discount if you buy before they leave. That's the usual Game Pass perk, but it only helps if you actually pull the trigger.

Earlier this month nine games already left, with Expedition 33: Clair Obscur being the biggest name. The Casting of Frank Stone and A Plague Tale: Requiem also went away. Game Pass has been bleeding some heavy hitters lately.

I'm probably grabbing Deep Rock Galactic with the discount. It's been sitting in my backlog for too long and I don't want to pay full price later.
