series x owners: disc or digital now that physical is just a code in a box?

preordered the disc version back in june cause i like having a case on the shelf, but now im hearing the physical edition is literally just a code in a box. no disc, no nothing. whats the point of that? i run a few characters on fivem so im used to digital anyway, but i figured i'd grab the ultimate edition on disc for the vintage vice city pack and the steelbook. if its just a download code inside, i might as well switch to digital and preload it. anyone else moving their preorder to digital because of this? or are you sticking with the box for the shelf even if its empty?

Ultimate Edition code in a box is just marketing theater. No disc means no resale and no ownership. You're paying for cardboard. I'd switch to digital, preload it, and save the shelf space. Same downgrade risk, less clutter.
