the extended look made me want to wander instead of rush the story
I went into the extended look already sold on the visuals. Vice City was always going to look ridiculous, that was never in doubt. But after sitting with it for a bit, the thing that actually shifted for me wasn't the graphics at all.
It's the density of stuff happening when you're not on a mission. The NPCs doing their own thing, interiors that feel lived in, little interactions you'd miss if you were sprinting to the next objective. Before I was picturing myself tearing through the story to see the set pieces. Now I'm way more interested in just walking around and letting the world do its thing.
That's the part I didn't expect. I thought my first few hours would be all about the main missions, but now I'm pretty sure I'll spend the first session just poking around and seeing what happens. Maybe that's the real test of how far Rockstar pushed it.
Was there anything in the extended look that genuinely changed what you expected? Not your favorite shot or moment, but something that made you go "oh, they're actually going that far with this."
