the no safehouse thing is fine but the reasoning is weird
I don't actually care that we can't buy safehouses. Story probably gives us a few as we go, and the map is huge so it makes sense. I just want other stuff to spend cash on since businesses are apparently out too.
But the reason they gave bugs me. They said it's because Jason and Lucia are on the run, and buying property would draw heat. Okay, sure. But then why can we do literally everything else that draws way more heat? The trailer had Lucia jacking an influencer's car and then livestreaming a police chase. That's way louder than signing a lease.
And wouldn't there be people in Vice City who take cash under the table for off the books spots? Like a shady landlord or a fixer. Seems like an easy workaround if Rockstar wanted to include it.
I'm not mad about it, just feels like a flimsy excuse. What do you all think, is there a better in-universe reason or do you think Rockstar just wanted to keep safehouses tied to story progression?
