been replaying gta iv lately and one thing that hit me was how much the little musical sting at the end of a mission added to the whole vibe. each mission had its own little theme, and it made finishing a job feel like a real moment. you'd get that somber piano after something heavy, or a more upbeat track when you pulled off something slick. it gave every mission its own identity.

then i went back to gta v and... it's just the same jingle every single time. don't get me wrong, it's catchy, but after 70 missions it starts to feel like a punchline. it doesn't match the tone of what you just did half the time. you'll have this intense, emotional sequence and then bam — that same bouncy riff kicks in like nothing happened.

rockstar put so much effort into the atmosphere of their games, especially with rdr2. the music, the pacing, the way the world reacts to you. a dynamic mission complete theme seems like such a small thing but it really ties the whole experience together. imagine finishing a tense heist in vice city and getting a dark, moody sting, versus a goofy side mission that ends with something playful. it'd make each mission feel like its own little story beat.

i know it's a minor detail compared to everything else we're hyped about, but those little touches are what make rockstar games special. what do you all think? would you rather have one iconic theme or a bunch of different ones depending on the mission?
