wwz viral state update is just gta 6 with zombies and i can't unsee it

Caught the new World War Z Viral State update footage and the first thing my brain did was overlay Vice City over it. Not saying Saber ripped anything off, but the layout of some of those quarantine zones has that same sun baked Florida strip mall energy Rockstar's been showing in every Leonida shot since the first trailer.

There's this one stretch with a rundown motel and a flooded parking lot that could pass for Port Gellhorn if you squint and ignore the horde piling over the dumpsters. I've watched the Extended Look enough times that my brain just auto fills in Lucia and Jason running through there with a duffel bag.

What gets me is how much I now want Rockstar to do a proper zombie thing with the GTA 6 map. Not a full game, just a limited time mode like the old Undead Nightmare days. Leonida has the Keys, all those trailer parks and highway rest stops. It's built for it.

But knowing Rockstar they'll keep that stuff buried in Director Mode or a holiday event years from now. We'll probably get a yacht and some collectible vinyl records before we get a Leonida zombie survival mode.

Still, Viral State might scratch that itch for a few weeks until November 19. Not the same thing, but close enough when you're waiting for the real map to unlock.
