witchbrook's january release is exactly when i'll need a break from leonida

Eight years of waiting and Witchbrook finally has a release date, January 28 2027. For anyone still riding the GTA 6 high from November, that's a pretty perfect gap. You'll have time to finish the story, mess around in Leonida for a couple months, then switch to something completely opposite when you're burnt out on heists and cop chases.
The game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Switch, and Switch 2. So basically everyone gets it. That's not something we can say about GTA 6 right now, which still has no PC date announced.
If you haven't followed Witchbrook, it's a life sim where you're a new student at Witchbrook College in a seaside town called Mossport. You learn spells, make friends, romance people, join clubs, enter cooking competitions. The usual cozy game loop but with a magic school twist that reminds me of Little Witch Academia more than anything. Up to four player co-op too, which is rare for this genre. You can run a business, decorate your house, race brooms. I wasn't expecting broomstick races but now I want them.
The customization looks ridiculous. Hundreds of outfits, hand crafted NPCs, furniture placement wherever. The trailers over the years have shown a ton of variety. It's overwhelming in the best way.
I know this is a GTA forum and we're all counting down to November 19, but after the intensity of a new Rockstar open world, sometimes you need a game about baking and making potions. Witchbrook dropping ten weeks later feels deliberate. Like the universe giving us a recovery game.
Anyone else already mentally scheduling Witchbrook as the post-GTA6 decompression title, or are you going straight back for a second run through Leonida?
