I was watching one of those Miami beach live cams last night and it hit me. Rockstar's done a ton of real world marketing stunts for GTA 6, but their virtual side has mostly been the trailers, the Netflix extended look, and a pile of screenshots and magazine spreads. All of that is great, but it's all curated. Nothing that just lets the world sit there and breathe.

What if they set up a 24/7 livestream of an in-game location before launch? Like a fixed camera on the Vice City skyline, or a street corner in Port Gellhorn, or one of the Keys. Running on Twitch and YouTube for the week leading up to November 19. No player, no HUD, no commentary. Just NPCs doing their thing, traffic, weather, the day/night cycle.

We already have real life versions of this. People leave streams up of the Miami port or Ocean Drive all day. Rockstar would be the first to do it with a game world before release. And honestly, it would show off how alive Leonida is without anyone touching a controller. Most of us will either be playing at launch or watching a streamer, but this is a different angle. You get to see the world on its own terms.

I know some of you will say it ruins the first time exploration. That's fair. You want to walk into Vice City and see it fresh. But this idea only works before release, and you can always not watch. For the rest of us, it'd be the perfect background stream while we count down the days.

I'd leave that thing running on a second monitor all day.
