people are flipping that limited Miami merch for more than the collector's edition

Saw this on Dexerto and had to post. Some of that limited edition GTA 6 merch from Miami is already being resold, and the prices are absurd. Like, more than the $400 Collector's Edition absurd.

I don't know exactly what they handed out or sold down there, but clearly whatever it was, people want it bad. Scalpers are having a field day. It's the same old story with any hyped drop, but it hits different when it's GTA 6. We've waited over a decade for this game and now even the merch is turning into a stock market.

I get wanting a piece of history. If Rockstar did some exclusive Miami event with limited items, of course they're going to end up on eBay for stupid money. But paying more than the actual game's collector's edition for a t-shirt or a keychain or whatever? That's a level of dedication I can't match.

Makes me wonder what the official merch situation will look like at launch. If the pre-order bonuses are already scarce, November is going to be chaos. I'm just hoping the Vintage Vice City Pack doesn't end up in the same boat, because I actually want that stuff for myself.

Would you drop that kind of cash on a piece of GTA 6 merch, or is this just scalper bait?
