scalpers are flipping the $400 collector's box for $1,500 and it's still in stock

Scalpers are already at it with the collector's box. GamesRadar caught listings going for $1,500 and up, even though Rockstar still has the thing in stock at $400.

I don't get the logic. Why pay triple when you can just buy it direct? Maybe people outside the US don't have access? Or they think it'll sell out fast and they're getting ahead of it. But it's literally still available.

The collector's box itself is a weird one. $400 for merch, no game. I know some folks here were already side eyeing that price. Now scalpers are trying to make it worse.

I get flipping limited stuff when it's actually sold out, but this is just dumb. You can go to Rockstar's site right now and order one. Unless the scalper listings are for people who missed the pre-order window or something? I haven't checked if it's region locked.

Anyone else seeing these listings pop up? I'm half tempted to message one of them and ask why they think someone would pay $1,500 for a box that's still in stock.

Over/under has to be low, right? Scalping only works on scarcity, and there's none here. It's like an exploit that fails because the vendor infinitely restocks. I might be wrong, but I'd guess a few still sell to people who never check Rockstar's store directly.

Curious if anyone's confirmed whether it's region locked though, that might explain some of the listings.
