Wife got me a cake with a GTA 6 delay joke. I'm not even mad.

So my wife does this thing every year where she gets me a birthday cake even though I keep telling her I don't need one. This year she went all in on the bit.

She's never really cared about video games, but I guess I've been complaining about the GTA 6 delays so much that it stuck. The cake had this little message on it, something like "Maybe GTA 6 will be out by your next birthday." She thought she was hilarious. And honestly? She kinda was.

It's the first time she's ever referenced anything gaming related in one of these cakes. I've been talking about the wait for this game for so long, and she actually listened. That's the real gift. The cake was just the delivery mechanism.

Two delays. Two. And we're still not at launch. I've been following every scrap of info since that first trailer, and the November date still feels like a mirage sometimes. But if my wife, who couldn't tell you the difference between a PlayStation and a toaster, knows about the delays, then Rockstar's timeline issues have truly reached the mainstream.

Anyway, the cake was good. Chocolate. And now I have a new tradition: every birthday until November 19, I'm expecting a GTA 6 themed cake. She created a monster.
