the 27th can't get here fast enough, I just want to see how it actually plays
We've been staring at those two trailers for what feels like forever, and I'm at the point where I don't even care about another cinematic montage. I want to see the raw gameplay loop. How heavy does the driving feel this time? Is it closer to GTA IV's weight or V's arcadey snap? And the combat, I'm really hoping they've taken cues from Max Payne 3 and RDR2, that punchy feedback where every shot lands with some real consequence.
Side activities are the other big question mark. Vice City had the best atmosphere but the actual stuff to do outside missions was pretty thin. If they're building a whole state this time, I need more than bowling and darts. Give me something like the hunting system from RDR2 but with gators and pythons, or maybe some proper street racing circuits that aren't just point to point.
Lucia and Jason are the wildcards. The trailer snippets hint at a Bonnie and Clyde dynamic but I'm hoping they don't just make it a simple love story. Rockstar's at their best when the protagonists are messy and complicated. I want to see how they interact when things go wrong, not just the highlight reel.
August 27th can't come soon enough. Even if the extended look is mostly curated, I just need something new to dissect frame by frame.

I'm at 100% completion on every main entry since III, so the Extended Look is strictly mission design intel for me. I need to see how Lucia and Jason's heists are structured in-engine, not just cutscene shorthand. Give me one uninterrupted minute of actual combat and I'll be satisfied.
