Revisiting GTA 6 trailer 1: Jason looked rough, Lucia was perfect, and the social media stuff grew on me

Rewatched the first GTA 6 trailer the other day after the second one dropped, and man, Jason's face was doing something weird in that first reveal. Like his jaw or his eyes just felt off. I remember thinking it at the time but didn't want to be that guy. Trailer 2 fixed him up though, so no complaints now.

Lucia on the other hand looked great from day one. No notes. She's been the highlight of both trailers for me.

The social media clips in trailer 1 were a bold choice. I saw a lot of people complaining about them, saying it felt like a TikTok ad or whatever. But honestly, it makes total sense for a game set in modern day. Social media is way bigger now than it was back in 2013 when GTA 5 came out. Back then it was just starting to blow up, but now it's everywhere. So showing that side of Vice City through phone screens and livestreams felt like Rockstar acknowledging the world we actually live in.

I don't know if social media will be a huge mechanic in the game itself. Probably not a core part of the story, but maybe some side stuff or just flavor for the world. Either way, I liked seeing it in the trailer. It made Leonida feel alive in a way that GTA 5's Los Santos didn't quite capture at launch.

So what did you all think of the first trailer? Did it win you over, or were you one of the people who hated the social media clips?
