August 9, 2026. Three months until launch. Feels surreal to even type that after all the waiting. I wanted to drop something here that we can look back on a decade from now, when GTA 6 has been part of our lives for years and the hype cycle is a distant memory.

Where will you be in 2036? Still playing? Still alive? I'd like to think most of us will have finished the story by then, probably multiple times. The online world will be this massive, lived-in thing with its own culture and inside jokes. Maybe some of you are still booting up GTA V for nostalgia, the way people still mess around in San Andreas.

I keep wondering if the game will actually live up to the "biggest in history" label everyone's throwing around. The trailers look incredible, and Rockstar's track record speaks for itself, but the expectations are insane. Pre-orders are already through the roof according to Take-Two, so the industry is betting big. I grabbed the Ultimate Edition for PS5 because I'm not waiting another second longer than I have to. I know some of you are holding out for a PC port that hasn't even been announced yet, and honestly, I don't have that kind of patience.

It's weird to think that in 10 years, the things we're obsessing over now—the map size, the radio stations, the physics—will just be normal. We'll have our favorite spots in Leonida, our go-to cars, the missions we replay every year. The community will have moved on to whatever's next, but this game will still be here.

I'm just glad I get to be here for it. See you at launch, and in the years to come.
