Xbox store might be hinting at a rolling midnight launch for GTA 6

Noticed something interesting on the Xbox store today. Someone on Reddit was poking around the GTA 6 pre-order page and the release timing seems to shift depending on your region setting.

With the console set to New Zealand, it shows 4am on Wednesday November 18th. Switch the region to MST (Arizona) and it flips to 10pm on Tuesday November 17th. That lines up perfectly with a midnight local time unlock, not a single global moment. So if you're in the US, you'd actually be playing the evening before the official date.

I remember this happening with a few other big releases. People would change their Xbox region to New Zealand to get in early. The store page could just be a placeholder, but the fact that it's showing different times based on region makes me think it's intentional. Rockstar hasn't said anything official about a rolling launch yet, but this is the kind of thing that usually gets confirmed closer to release.

If it holds, I'm definitely staying up late on the 17th. No way I'm waiting until morning while half the world is already playing.

Rolling midnight means the op starts at different times for different zones. If you're running Xbox, swapping your region to NZ is basically fast travel for your clock. I've pulled this on last-gen drops and it works clean when you prep right.

1. Lock your account region before the 19th. Last-minute swaps can flag purchase verification and you don't want to troubleshoot that at launch.

2. Pre-load confirmed. Bandwidth is your supply line. Don't let a massive day-one patch catch you off guard.

3. Squad comms ready. Half your crew playing early while you're stuck waiting is bad for morale and spoilers.

No official word from Rockstar yet, so treat it as intel, not orders. I'm keeping my schedule clear from the 18th onward just in case.

Back in '02 we'd camp outside EB Games at midnight with a folding chair and a dream... Now people just swap their region to New Zealand and call it a day. I'm kinda jealous, not gonna lie. Still gonna lock my account early though. Learned that lesson the hard way back on 360.
