warhammer survivors is launching 9 days before gta 6 and i kinda respect it

Caught a GameSpot writeup about Warhammer Survivors and it got me thinking about how empty the November calendar is around GTA 6. The game drops November 10 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, Switch, and mobile, plus there's a Steam demo right now.

It's a Vampire Survivors style thing but set in the 40k universe, so you're mowing down Tyranids and dying a bunch before your build comes online. They're saying over 40 playable characters and 70 weapons at launch, with Extremis bosses to test you. It'll also be on Game Pass day one.

What gets me is the timing. Most publishers cleared out of mid November entirely because GTA 6 is on the 19th. Warhammer Survivors is going nine days before that, which feels either brave or insane. The article mentions a Godzilla remaster team also said they aren't worried about launching near GTA 6, so there are a few holdouts.

Poncle, the Vampire Survivors dev, is also working on a Jujutsu Kaisen Survivors game that got pushed to 2027. That one sounds like a battle royale twist on the formula, last player standing kind of deal.

I don't know if I'll actually play Warhammer Survivors before GTA 6, but I respect anyone willing to go up against Rockstar's launch week. What smaller game are you actually planning to squeeze in before November 19?
