what's actually gonna happen on November 19th when GTA 6 drops
Saw a post on Reddit that got me thinking about what November 19 is actually gonna look like. Not the game itself, but the real world chaos around it. We all know the servers are gonna get hammered and half of us won't be able to play for the first hour, but there's a lot more going on outside our living rooms.
First, the content creator gold rush. Every small YouTuber and TikToker with a capture card is gonna be scrambling to get clips up. The algorithm's gonna be flooded with "GTA 6 FIRST MISSION" and "LUCIA GLITCH COMPILATION" within minutes. Some random kid with 200 subscribers is gonna hit a million views overnight just because they were the first to post a specific car crash. It's gonna be wild.
Then there's the mass absenteeism. Schools and offices are gonna be ghost towns on the 19th and probably the 20th too. I'm already hearing coworkers talk about taking sick days and it's only July. Productivity charts are gonna have a weird dip that week and every manager is gonna know exactly why.
Celebrities are gonna come out of the woodwork pretending they've been fans since the top-down days. Some rapper who's never touched a controller is gonna stream it for clout, die five times in the tutorial, and still pull a million viewers. The cringe is gonna be off the charts.
Food delivery drivers are gonna be the real MVPs. DoorDash and UberEats are gonna see a spike that makes Super Bowl Sunday look like a slow Tuesday. Every gamer in Leonida County is gonna be ordering pizza and wings so they don't have to pause the game. I'm already feeling bad for the drivers dealing with all of us yelling "just leave it at the door" while we're in the middle of a heist.
Twitch is gonna break. Not literally, but the viewership numbers are gonna be insane. Every big streamer is gonna be live, and even the smaller ones are gonna pull numbers they've never seen. The hype around this game is unreal, and launch day is gonna be a cultural moment, not just a gaming one.
I'm already planning my snacks and warning my friends I'll be unreachable for at least 48 hours. The real world can wait.

You're dropping eight hours of sick leave to queue for an $80 game. Break-even's $10 per hour, and your MC crew makes more passively.
