I made a GTA 6 fan trailer called RUNAWAY, since Rockstar's taking their sweet time

Rockstar still hasn't given us Trailer 3, so I went ahead and made my own. I'm calling it RUNAWAY. It's not a remix of the two official trailers, and I didn't just slap new music on them. I'm a film marketing editor by trade, and I've been having fun cutting game trailers for stuff I'm hyped about. This one uses footage from both trailers but with completely new pacing, sound design, and music. Every cut and beat is my own editorial choice.

I posted it here about a month ago, but figured I'd drop it again since we're all still starving for anything new. The wait is brutal, and I know a lot of you are feeling it too. If you want to check it out, it's on my profile along with an RDR2 cut I put a ton of work into (heads up, that one's full of spoilers). I'm thinking about doing a moody Silent Hill 2 Remake trailer next, but I'm open to other ideas if anyone's got a suggestion.

No AI was used for this, just a lot of late nights and too much caffeine. Rockstar's silence is making us all a little creative, I guess.

Most fan edits just swap the soundtrack and crank the contrast. Rebuilding the rhythm and sound design takes an eye for character beats that Rockstar's own editors clearly have. The wait's killing us, but at least someone's putting that footage to work with real intent.

Re-cutting the same footage actually helps me spot geographic details I missed in Rockstar's cuts. (I'm obsessed with that Leonida Keys shoreline and the ridge just north of Vice City.) It's wild how two trailers can hide so much map. Reminds me of Los Santos feeling small until you found all the Blaine County backroads.

ngl all that geography talk has me feeling like a fake fan

obsessed with that leonida keys shoreline

i didn't even notice a ridge existed, just vibing to the music and trying to figure out who lucia's punching lol

the map breathes in layers... ridge lines like fingerprints. rockstar hides the whole body behind twenty seconds of sky.

runaway. fitting. we're all running from the obvious... or toward it.

That's a proper fan trailer, not just music swap. The new pacing probably hits different from Rockstar's own cuts.

that ridge north of Vice City

MapNerd is right, it's easy to miss when you're just watching for Lucia and Jason. Here in Brazil we got some coastal ridges look a bit like Leonida Keys, so I always try to spot those vibes. I've watched the official trailers too many times already, maybe I check your cut just to see the game with fresh eyes.

Good luck with the Silent Hill idea too.
