GTA 6 fans raise $50k for sick fan trying live long enough to play VI

I saw this on Dexerto and honestly it's the kind of thing that makes me love this community. A GoFundMe for a sick fan who's been holding on just to play GTA 6 hit $50,000 in donations, and a huge chunk of that came from other GTA fans.

The guy's story is pretty simple: he's been waiting for this game as long as the rest of us, and his biggest goal right now is just to be here when it drops. The money's going toward his medical expenses and making sure he's as comfortable as possible until November 19. No gimmicks, no begging for attention, just a person who wants to experience Vice City one more time.

What gets me is how fast the community jumped on this. One post on Reddit, a few tweets, and suddenly thousands of strangers are chipping in. It's the same energy we had when that fan with cancer got to see RDR2 early back in 2018, except this time it's the fans making it happen instead of Rockstar.

I know we spend a lot of time arguing about trailer frames and map sizes, but stuff like this is a good reminder that the wait means something real to people. For some of us, November 19 isn't just a release date, it's a finish line we're trying to reach.

What's the first thing you'd do in GTA 6 if you knew it might be the last game you ever play?
