Take-Two bumped their earnings call to a Friday morning and I don't like it

So Take-Two just moved their next earnings call to Friday, August 7 at 8 AM ET. That's 90 minutes before the market opens, which is not when you normally drop news you want people to pay attention to. The usual play is a morning call during the week so analysts and press can chew on it all day. Friday before open? That's the "hope nobody notices" slot.

I'm not saying it's a delay. But if you're gonna announce one, you'd do it on a Friday to let the stock bleed out over the weekend and hope the outrage cools off by Monday. The timing is just... off. They didn't even give a reason for the change, just moved it.

I've been burned before. Rockstar's silence has been deafening since Trailer 2, and we're four months from launch with no gameplay blowout, no previews, nothing. The pre-orders are through the roof, sure, but that doesn't mean the game is on track. I want to believe they're just being Rockstar — secretive until the last minute — but my gut's doing that thing where it remembers Cyberpunk.

Still, I'm not full-on panicking. If they were gonna delay, they'd probably have done it by now. Maybe it's just some boring corporate scheduling thing. But I'm gonna be refreshing Twitter a lot on August 7th.
