gta 6 is bringing back the san andreas weight system, eat too much and lucia gets chubby

GamesRadar just dropped a little detail that's got me way more excited than it probably should. Apparently GTA 6 is bringing back the weight system from San Andreas, the one where if you stuff your face with too many burgers your character actually gets chubby. I remember spending way too much time in San Andreas just eating at Cluckin' Bell to see CJ balloon up, then hitting the gym to slim him back down. It was such a dumb little thing but it made the world feel alive.
The article also mentions that sleepless benders will take a toll, which makes me think Rockstar is going all in on character upkeep. Like, if you keep Lucia and Jason up all night doing missions or just messing around, they'll start looking rough. Bags under the eyes, maybe slower movement, who knows. That's the kind of detail I love. It's not just about stats, it's about your characters actually living in the world and dealing with consequences.
I know some people are worried this will be annoying, like having to constantly manage food and sleep. But San Andreas never forced you to do anything. You could ignore it entirely and still beat the game. It was just there for people who wanted that extra layer. I'm hoping GTA 6 does the same thing, keeps it optional but rewarding if you engage with it.
Also, the fact that they're bringing back a fan favorite from San Andreas specifically makes me think Rockstar knows what the old heads want. Vice City was always more about the vibe than the systems, but mixing that with San Andreas depth could be perfect. Lucia getting chubby after a few too many Vice City hot dogs is a mental image I didn't know I needed.
Anyway, I'm not expecting this to be a huge part of the game, but it's a nice sign that Rockstar is paying attention to the little things. Between this and the body systems rumor from Insider Gaming a while back, it seems like character condition is going to be a real mechanic. I'm all for it as long as it doesn't turn into a chore.

I like this kind of detail. Here in brazil we got plenty beach towns where people eat and sleep whenever. Makes Lucia feel more real if she gets chubby from too many Vice City hot dogs. Just hope it's optional like San Andreas. Don't want to be forced to hit gym every day.
