the marketing switch finally flipped and it feels unreal
Been saying for months that Rockstar would flip the switch this summer and it's finally happening. After all that silence, someone clearly hit the button.
Tomorrow we get the Extended Look. Today Dazed dropped a huge feature with actual Rockstar devs, new screenshots, real information about the game. And now it turns out Rockstar quietly invited creators and press to their offices last month, showed them the game, gave them exclusive stuff they're allowed to talk about right after the Extended Look airs.
This is what we've been asking for. Not one screenshot and then two months of nothing. Not dissecting a license plate from Trailer 2 because there's literally nothing else to talk about. Actual marketing. Interviews. Screenshots. Gameplay. Previews. Creators getting access. New info coming from different places at the same time.
It really feels like tomorrow might be the point where the GTA VI marketing machine goes into full gear. I've been refreshing this sub every day for weeks and it's been dead quiet. Now suddenly there's a Dazed feature, a Netflix premiere, creator previews all dropping within 24 hours.
Rockstar finally feeding us. Keep it coming.

Man, yesterday felt like tuning into a dead station for six months and suddenly the needle drops.
Not dissecting a license plate from Trailer 2 because there's literally nothing else to talk about.
Right?! That drought was brutal. Now we've got Dazed, creators getting eyes on it, and tomorrow's Extended Look hitting Netflix before YouTube. It's giving total Flash FM energy when they finally play the good stuff back to back.
I'm mostly just praying the vibe of Leonida translates to the stations. If I'm cruising Vice City proper or out past Grassrivers and the radio doesn't slap, what's even the point? The marketing machine is roaring now. Let's keep that volume cranked!
Trailer 1 (Dec 2023) to Trailer 2 (May 2025) was 17 months with one video. Now there's a Dazed feature, Netflix premiere, and creator impressions dropping within 24 hours. That's three channels after a 15 month gap. Extended Look hits Netflix at 3pm ET (Aug 27) and YouTube at 9pm ET.
