criminal profile can go past psycho and lock permanently, plus relationship stuff
The Criminal Profile system sounds way deeper than I thought. Four states: Professional, Aggressive, Violent, Psycho. But there's a fifth thing past Psycho. If you keep doing extreme stuff, the icon starts to crack and eventually breaks. Then it's locked for that playthrough. No going back.
Jason and Lucia each have their own profile. So one can be Professional while the other is Psycho. That could change how story moments play out. Maintaining Professional means showing restraint, not killing everyone, handling jobs cleanly. It's not a constantly moving bar like RDR2's honor. You move between states and check them in the menu.
You can turn off the notifications if you want. And if you don't care about the system, you can still cause as much chaos as you want. Rockstar isn't forcing it.
There's a dedicated menu for both characters. Shows their models, individual profiles, relationship status, other stuff. The romance is optional. You can keep them as lovers, just friends and partners, or let it drift by ignoring it. Relationship also uses states, not a meter. No predefined dates. You make your own by spending time together. Rockstar mentioned zoo, kayaking, walking on the beach.
Ignoring the romance won't remove either character. They stay partners in crime no matter what. Playing mostly as one character won't break them apart either. And the other character won't nag you about it. Rockstar designed both systems for roleplay and multiple playthroughs.
I'm curious how the locked Psycho state works. Does it change dialogue? Does it affect missions? Or is it just a badge that says you went too far?
