Activision thinks GTA 6 launching near MW4 will actually help them, other devs are scared

Saw this over on Dexerto and it's a wild take from Activision. They're saying the GTA 6 launch is going to help Modern Warfare 4, not hurt it. Apparently because most other games are running away from that November window, so MW4 gets to be the only big shooter next to GTA 6.
I get the logic a little. If every other publisher delays their fall games to avoid competing with Rockstar, then MW4 has less competition from other shooters. People who want a shooter will pick MW4 because it's the only option. But still, GTA 6 is GTA 6. That game is going to eat everyone's time for weeks. I don't know if being the second biggest game in the room is a win or just surviving.
We've already seen Activision execs hyping up both games as the biggest of the year, and now they're spinning the close release as a positive. It feels like they're trying to convince investors more than players. But maybe they're right that the audiences don't fully overlap. Some people will buy both, some will skip MW4 entirely because they're deep in Leonida.
What do you think, is this just PR spin or does MW4 actually benefit from GTA 6 clearing the calendar?
