activision cmo thinks gta 6 and modern warfare 4 are the biggest games this year

So Activision's CMO went on record saying GTA 6 and Modern Warfare 4 are the two biggest games of the year. That's coming from the company that owns Call of Duty, so it's a little funny they're lumping GTA 6 in there with their own title.

I don't know the full context, Insider Gaming just has the quote. But it's not exactly a hot take. GTA 6 has been the most anticipated game for years and MW4 is the next COD. Both are going to print money.

Still, a marketing exec at Activision acknowledging Rockstar's game as one of the biggest of the year is notable. Usually these companies don't want to give competitors free advertising. Maybe they're just being realistic.

I'm curious if this was said at some investor thing or an interview. The article doesn't say much beyond the CMO naming both games. If anyone has the full quote, drop it below.

Either way, we're a month out from GTA 6 and the industry is already calling it one of the biggest games of the year before it even ships. That's the level of hype we're dealing with.
