Push Square has a piece up about Edge of Memories, the JRPG style thing from Midgar Studio. It was supposed to hit PS5 on November 5. That date already had the Ocarina of Time remake on Switch 2 the same day, which was bold enough. But now they've pushed it to what they're calling a quieter period.

I get it. GTA 6 drops November 19. Two weeks after their old date. You do not want to be the game sitting on shelves while everyone is saving for the biggest launch of the decade. Even a niche JRPG needs some breathing room.

The original plan had them going up against both a Zelda remake and GTA 6 in the same month. That's a death wish. I don't know the new date yet, the announcement just says they're moving it to avoid the GTA 6 window. Probably smart to wait until after the holiday rush settles down.

I'm not even sure Edge of Memories was on my radar before this, but now I kind of respect them for reading the room. Plenty of publishers will still try to launch in the same window and get buried.

What other games do you think will quietly shift their dates before November 19?
