Launch trailer just hit and I'm still catching my breath. Rockstar dropped it with zero warning, same as they've done all year.

The whole thing was captured in-game on a PS5, which is wild because it looks like a cutscene reel. Jason and Lucia get pulled into a score that goes sideways, and next thing you know they're tangled in some conspiracy running through Leonida. The description paints it as the ugly underbelly of the sunniest corner of the country and that's exactly the vibe I wanted from this game.

Justice did the original score. That alone has me hyped, but they also dropped a standalone single called "Flower in a Hurricane" with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard on it. Three features on one track is a lot but somehow it works. The full soundtrack, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, is up for pre-save on streaming and you can preorder vinyl or CD too. I already grabbed the vinyl.

November 19 can't come soon enough. Between this and the extended look from August, Rockstar is finally letting the marketing breathe. No more silence, just straight footage and music.

I keep rewatching the trailer and noticing little details in the background. The PS5 capture makes me less worried about performance too. If it looks that clean in a trailer, the final build should hold up.
