Saw Insider Gaming dropped an exclusive about G2A and GTA 6. The actual writeup is basically one line, they caught up with G2A to see how the platform is preparing for the game's arrival. That's it. No real details yet.

But the headline alone is enough to make me think about what happens to grey market key sites when a release this huge is a month out. G2A isn't a traditional store, it's a marketplace where random sellers list codes. Some legit, some not. For a game with this much demand, you know the listings are going to explode the second pre-orders or launch keys start floating around.

I remember when GTA 5 came out, there were tons of cheap PC keys on those sites months before the actual PC port even existed. People got burned with region locked codes or keys that got revoked. GTA 6 is console only for now, so any codes would be PSN or Xbox wallet stuff, maybe full game codes if retailers break street date. G2A probably wants to be ready for that wave, whether they admit it or not.

Also curious if Rockstar or Take-Two have leaned on them before. They've gone after modders and cheat makers hard, but grey market keys are a different fight. Maybe G2A is trying to clean up its act ahead of the biggest launch in years, or maybe they're just making sure their servers don't melt when everyone searches for "gta 6 cheap" on day one.

Either way, I'm not touching a reseller for this game. Too much risk for a $80 title. But I know plenty of people will roll the dice to save twenty bucks.

Would you ever grab a GTA 6 key from a site like G2A, or is that a hard pass for you?
