rockstar confirmed no disney world spoof in gta 6, sea world and space coast are out too

Saw GameSpot's piece on this and yeah, I'm a little bummed. A GTA take on the most Florida theme park imaginable felt like a layup, but Rockstar told Game Informer it's not happening.

Jack McPherson basically said they weigh all the possible landscapes, towns, landmarks, plant life, rock formations, and everything else before deciding what serves the game. So while Orlando's big parks won't be there, the team still thinks what they built delivers the full Florida experience. I guess that means we get the weirdness through other means.

SeaWorld and the Space Coast around Cape Canaveral are also off the table. No shuttle launch pad parody either. That one stings a little too, because a rocket facility in a GTA map would have been wild.

I get the logic though. Vice City is Miami, and Orlando is a four hour drive north. Even with the biggest map Rockstar has ever made, expecting them to stretch all the way up there was probably unrealistic. The map is huge but it's still a game, not a 1:1 state.

Jay Klaitz, who played Lester in GTA 5, floated the idea of a legally distinct park called Psycho Park in an interview a while back. That would have been fun. GTA 5 didn't have a Disneyland parody either, but it did have Fred's Pictures as a pretty obvious Disney jab. So maybe we'll still get some radio ads or in-game brands poking at the mouse without an actual park to visit.

I'm not saying Rockstar made the wrong call. Just feels like a missed opportunity for some of that classic satire. What Florida landmarks or institutions do you hope actually made the cut instead?
