170+ animals confirmed for GTA 6, legendary ones included

Saw the Dexerto piece and figured I'd share. Rockstar put out a fresh batch of GTA 6 details today, and the animal count is the headline for me. Over 170 different animals. That's a lot. RDR2 had around 200 species if you count birds and fish, but this is GTA, not a western. I didn't expect them to go this hard.
They're calling some of them "Legendary" animals. That immediately makes me think of RDR2's legendary hunts. If GTA 6 has a similar system, I'm already planning to spend hours tracking down every one. The announcement also mentions activities, but the source doesn't go deep on those. The main new bit is that players can study animals. Over 170 of them, apparently. So there's probably a compendium or field guide style thing, like RDR2's animal compendium but in modern Leonida.
I'm curious how this fits into the gameplay loop. In RDR2, studying animals was tied to hunting and crafting. In GTA 6, maybe it's tied to side activities or collectibles. Could be a chill thing to do between missions. Vice City always had a certain vibe, and adding a full wildlife system on top of that is a big shift.
Anyway, 170+ animals with legendary variants is more than I expected. If Rockstar is putting this much detail into the fauna, the rest of the map is going to be insane. November 19 can't get here fast enough.
