launch trailer is out and justice made a whole single for it
Rockstar finally put out the launch trailer and it's exactly what I needed a month out. The description sets up Jason and Lucia as two people who already know the odds are against them, then an easy score goes sideways and they end up tangled in some conspiracy that spans all of Leonida. The "darkest side of the sunniest place" line is doing a lot of work for the tone they're going for.
The big surprise for me is the music. Justice did the original score for GTA 6, and now there's a standalone single called "Flower in a Hurricane" featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. That's a wild combination. The single is part of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which you can pre-save on streaming services or pre-order on vinyl and CD. I didn't have a Justice and King Gizzard collab on my bingo card but here we are.
Also worth noting the trailer was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5. No bullshot, no target render. If that's what the actual game looks like running on a PS5, I'm going to be staring at every neon reflection for the first ten hours.
November 19 can't come soon enough.
What do you all think of the music choices for the launch trailer? Does Justice fit Vice City or is it too clean for the grime?
