virgin media ireland will pay someone $900 to play gta 6 for eight hours

Saw this floating around today. Virgin Media Ireland has some competition going where one person gets paid to play GTA 6. $900 for eight hours. Basically getting paid to do what half this forum already planned to do on November 19.

Details are thin so far. It's a competition, not a job listing, so I'm guessing you enter and they pick someone. No word on whether it's at a specific event or just at home with some kind of stream setup. $900 for eight hours works out to about $112 an hour, which beats my actual job by a lot.

Feels like a marketing stunt to grab attention before launch. We're less than a month out now, and companies are trying to ride the GTA 6 wave. First coffee blends, now paid play sessions. I'm not complaining.

I'd do it for free tbh. The real question is which eight hours. Day one? After the day one patch? If they make someone speedrun the opening or sit through the install screen for two of those hours, that changes things.

Would you take the $900 or just play on your own terms with no strings attached?
